'We must not forget to prevent it from happening again', says organiser
One of the most harrowing events in modern history is being commemorated this weekend.
The Island's Holocaust Memorial Service takes place this Sunday, remembering the victims of the Holocaust, and genocides still happening around the world.
Organiser, Leonard Singer, has been involved in the service for twenty years and feels passionately about the proper teaching of the Holocaust in schools.
He says the point of remembering such awful things is to ensure they never happen again:

The Holocaust Memorial Service takes place on Sunday 26 January at St. Georges Church in Douglas at 3pm.
