Anniversary of Auschwitz liberation
A survivor of the Nazis' attempt to exterminate the Jewish people has spoken to Manx Radio on Holocaust Memorial Day.
The theme for this year is, "How Can Life Go On?".
The annual commemoration marks the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.
Janine Webber was nine years old when the Nazis came for her and her family.
Here is an extract of her story, as told on Women Today earlier:
After a couple of years of hiding and escaping, Ms Webber ended up in a convent in Krakow, hiding her Jewish identity to survive.
You can hear more of her story by listening to Friday's edition of Women Today via 'On Demand' on manxradio.com or the Women Today blog on the Manx Radio Facebook page.
