Almost 300 bed spaces provided in first six months
An emergency night shelter for the Island's homeless has provided almost 300 bed spaces within its six months of opening, a charity has confirmed.
Graih, which is based on Broadway in Douglas, received a government grant to run a pilot programme and recruit a full-time support worker to man the facility.
It has since put up 43 different individuals with basic accommodation.
In April, Eric Irwin of the charity told Manx Radio the shelter was 'pioneer work' for the Isle of Man.
