Former health minister queries chief minister's claims
The former Health Minister Lawrie Hooper has exchanged heated words with the chief minister regarding Manx Care's finances in this morning sitting of the House of Keys.
The Ramsey MHK, who resigned from the Council of Ministers earlier this month in a row over healthcare funding, says the health body made clear the financial risks it's facing.
Alfred Cannan, who's currently acting health minister, has previously said Manx Care must come in on budget this year.
Mr Hooper asked how Mr Cannan could claim in Tynwald that "finances were not a major risk" outlined by the Manx Care Board:
Bid to reverse fresh Summerland inquests rejection
Health funding: "It's a moral question, do you stop some services to come within budget?"
Island's current approach to illegal drug use 'harming people', says MHK
