First time buyer help 'not enough' - Hooper
First-time buyer schemes in the Isle of Man have been branded inadequate by a Ramsey MHK.
Lawrie Hooper made the point during a motion from Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer in Tynwald this week.
This amended the Shared Equity Purchase Assistance (First Home Fixed) Scheme, increasing income eligibility criteria by £5,000 for each class of household, up to a maximum household income of £50,000 for a family with children.
Mr Hooper said what was on offer was not good enough:
Man who launched attack on van driver sentenced
RNLI's last serving Mersey class boat visits the Island
Double victory for Island's heritage railways
Demolition work to get underway on Douglas high street site
Pan-Island Skills Test returns to the Isle of Man
