Matter to be raised in Keys
Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper has branded a decision to use income from the Island's water rate to pay off the electricity debt 'inappropriate'.
Manx Utilities owes around £500million after the former debt-laden electricity body merged with the old Water Authority two years ago.
Mr Hooper asked questions in the House of Keys this week after the recent news of a 6.4 per cent rise in the water rate.
He's now calling for honesty - but stopped short of calling the move illegal:
