No MLCs as Ministers or departmental members
It seems one of the new faces in the House of Keys is wasting no time in trying to make his mark in Manx politics.
LibVan member Lawrie Hooper wants to restrict members of the Legislative Council from certain governmental positions.
He's hoping those in the upper chamber are not only prevented from ministerial positions but also from becoming departmental or statutory board members.
Select Committees are not being targeted in Mr Hooper's bold move.
He believes LegCo does still have an important role to play:
