Guided tours of stables available
A special cavalcade along Douglas Promenade will mark the 140th anniversary of the Island’s horse trams this afternoon.
All operational trams will depart the Strathallan depot at 4pm, and there’ll even be a commemorative ticket to mark the occasion.
That is the highlight on a day of attractions which include the double decker tram being pulled by a pair of horses at 9am.
There'll be a guided tour of the stables at midday.
