DoI confirms services have since resumed in full
The Department of Infrastructure has confirmed there was a partial derailment on the Douglas Bay Horse Trams this afternoon (24 July).
It occurred as Tram 27 was 'traversing the points at the Villa Marina' whilst 'travelling at very low speed as it departed the terminus'.
The DoI confirmed to Manx Radio there were 'no injuries sustained to any of the passengers', and that 'the points mechanism has been inspected and tested and appears to be in full working order'.
It added there was 'no evidence of obstructions or stones in the track'.
Services have since resumed in full.
