Margaret Simpson pleased with changes to work permits for health staff
The Chief Executive of Hospice has welcomed the recent changes to the Island's work permit system.
From 1st of October, nurses, midwives and social workers who are not Isle of Man workers will be exempt from the need to obtain a permit.
Margaret Simpson says they work closely with their colleagues within the Department of Health and Social Care, and hopes the changes will ensure the continuation of excellent health care on the Island.
She says in recent years the recruitment of people with the necessary skills has been increasingly difficult:
