Hospice Christmas tree recycling scheme to return

Suggested donation is £15 per tree

A local charity is set to bring back its Christmas tree collection and recycling service again this year.

Hospice Isle of Man is running its annual Christmas tree recycling service on Saturday, 6 January and Sunday, 7 January, in conjunction with the Isle of Man Post Office.

Registration will close on Wednesday 3 January 2024.

To have trees collected, there is a suggested donation of £15 per tree, and all money raised goes straight to supporting patient care at Hospice Isle of Man.

Christmas trees will be collected directly from outside your front door by volunteers at the Isle of Man Post Office, taken to Tel’s Ltd. to be shredded before being turned into compost by Ballaneven Compost Ltd.

This will be the tenth year of Hospice Isle of Man’s collection service. 

Over the last nine years, over 5,000 trees have been collected in total, with £75,000 has been raised through donations.
