Further digital services could be launched
Nobles Hospital's main IT system has been successfully upgraded - on time and under budget.
The move was approved by Tynwald last June.
The new software is the first major upgrade to the Island's patient administration system - Medway - which was launched in 2008.
It provides opportunities for further digital services to be launched, such as electronically tracking a patient's condition, managing clinical risks and electronic prescriptions.
Medway is one of the most widely used hospital IT systems in the British Isles with around 40 UK NHS Trusts using the platform.
