Difficult to replace bookings says Welbeck owner
A Douglas hotelier believes his business will lose out following the cancellation of Rally Isle of Man.
The Welbeck Hotel has already seen teams cancel their bookings for next week before the announcement that the event won't be going ahead, and is uncertain how many others will cancel.
Organisers blamed insurmountable delays securing Road Closure Orders from the Department of Infrastructure who in turn say it was down to missed deadlines and poor organisation.
Michael George from the Welbeck says it will be difficult to replace the bookings.
