Clash 'damages' Tynwald's standing
The chief minister has described the suspension of an MHK from Tynwald this week as one of the lowest points in his political career.
Allan Bell says Tynwald's standing has been damaged by John Houghton's refusal to apologise for his misconduct.
A lengthy report by a parliamentary committee concluded Mr Houghton bullied a member of Tynwald staff, who later resigned.
The report was backed by Tywnald, and Mr Houghton was ordered to apologise
He refused, and became the first person to be suspended from Tynwald indefinitely.
Mr Houghton has since been suspended from his role in the Department of Infrastructure.
