
The leader of Douglas Council says a constant stream of press announcements about public sector housing is damaging relations with the government.
David Christian says he’s exasperated by recent announcements about tenancy assessments and changes to the points system – all of which have yet to be discussed by Tynwald.
The changes are part of a housing review which was undertaken by the Department of Social Care.
But Councillor Christian says it’s leading people to pre-judge the findings before politicians get the chance to discuss them:
