Education minister says despite offering to help, it will need to come from relevant local authorities
The education minister's admitted the support for HR offered to Southern Pool employees by her department is now the responsibility of the relevant local authorities.
Initially, Julie Edge said those affected by the potential closure of the facility could request the support.
While the site is government-owned and the Department of Education, Sport and Culture provides a subvention, it's rented by the local authorities to run the operations.
In the House of Keys today, Ms Edge said it's not her department's responsibility to help in this instance:
