Minister says DEFA is looking at ways to offer help to local producers
There's a 'huge amount' of work going on behind the scenes everyday to see how what support can be given to milling wheat growers on the Island.
That's according to Clare Barber, who was speaking on Manx Radio's Mannin Line at the Royal Manx Agricultural Show.
The Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister said at the moment Laxey Glen Mill is not taking in all the wheat.
Earlier this year the mill lost 80 per cent of its business due to the closure of Ramsey Bakery, but Mrs Barber says she's looking at what support her department can offer:
