Hundreds attend Isle of Man Graduate Fair

Locate Isle of Man event packs out Villa Marina Royal Hall

Hundreds of graduates and young adults have been attending an employment fair in Douglas today (1 April).

Around fifty-five employers and industry representatives have been manning stalls in the Villa Marina Royal Hall.

The annual event, now in its sixth year, is hosted by Locate Isle of Man and aims to highlight the opportunities available here.

"We'll see what the future holds, I guess."

These sixth form students from Ballakermeen are figuring out their next steps:

Some Manx students, back over from university in the UK, were also in attendance, alongside students from Liverpool John Moores who'd come over especially for the event.

"Clearly we're wanting our young people to either stay on the island or at some point come back here and we need to show what the exciting opportunities there are for them." - Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston
