Police in the south of the Island are investigating after a dog attacked sheep in a field at the weekend.
The incident happened shortly after 11.30pm on Saturday at Black Hill on Crossag Road, Ballasalla.
The dog attacked and wounded a number of sheep in the field, some of whom are in lamb, and a vet had to be called to treat them for injuries and shock.
Police say not having your dog under control at all times and sheep worrying are both offences – and they’re now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
If you know anything about the incident you can contact Castletown Police Station on 822222.
