Hunt the Wren tradition continues this morning

Details of where and when to Hunt the Wren

Hundreds of people are expected to continue the annual tradition of Hunting the Wren this morning, by performing a Manx dance outdoors across the Island.

The boxing day custom dates back as far as the 1810s, but doesn't involve hunting real birds anymore.

Caroline Helps leads the proceedings in Port St Mary.

Douglas, 10.30, meet from 10.15 at the Woodbourne Hotel

Ramsey, 10.30am, meet at St Paul's Church

St John's, 10.30am, meet at the Arboretum car park

Willaston, 10.45am, meet at Willaston School

Kirk Michael, 11am, meet outside the Mitre pub

Ballaugh, 11.20am, meet outside The Raven

Sulby, 11.40am, meet outside the Sulby Glen Pub
