The Isle of Man has so far avoided severe winter weather which arrived in parts of the UK on Boxing Day, but there has been some disruption to travel.
An easyJet flight from the Isle of Man to Liverpool John Lennon Airport had to return to Ronaldsway when the Merseyside airport closed for a time yesterday evening (26 Dec) for the runway to be cleared of snow.
Four other inbound flights to Liverpool were diverted to Manchester.
Today's services between the Island and Liverpool are listed as operating to schedule (27 Dec).
On the roads, the Department of Infrastructure treated routes on high ground overnight after snowfall yesterday afternoon.
Areas affected are the Mountain Road between the Mountain Mile and Veranda and the Brandywell Road between the middle cattle grid by St Luke's track and the junction with the Mountain Road.
These roads are passable with care so please drive carefully.
