IOM Meat Company Ltd meets for first time
The environment, food and agriculture minister says focus is now on giving the meat plant new impetus and reducing the site's burden on the taxpayer.
The new DEFA-backed operator of the loss-making Tromode facility, Isle of Man Meat Company Limited, will meet for the first time on Thursday.
One million pounds will be injected into the plant to offer farmers equivalency with UK markets, which it's hoped will incentivise throughput.
This Friday, the new operation body is inviting all stakeholders to discuss a new purchasing process for the plant
