Cabinet Office member says government and captains of parish have a role to play in organising meetings
It's important all voters have an opportunity to hear from their election candidates before going to the polls this September.
That's from a political member for the Cabinet Office after changes were made to how pre-election meetings are organised ahead of this year's vote.
The captains of the parish will still be able to arrange requisition meetings in their areas, while one government-run meeting will be held in each constituency.
