Merlin Hanbury-Tenison to visit Island later this month
The Isle of Man is set to become one of the first places across the British Isles to begin restoring and expanding temperate rainforests.
But what does it mean to undertake such a task? And where do you even start?
Merlin Hanbury-Tenison is a Cornish conservationist and veteran who founded The Thousand Year Trust, Britain’s rainforest charity.
He'll be on the Island later this month to share his experiences at a special talk at Peel Centenary Centre.
Howard Caine caught up with him to find out more about what exactly constitutes a temperate rainforest:
'Our Oaken Bones: Healing Ourselves by Saving Britain’s Rainforests. An evening with Merlin Hanbury-Tenison' will take place on Thursday 23rd October at Peel Centenary Centre.
