Health Minister urges public to think twice before posting on social media
The Health Minister is appealing for the public to think twice before making comments online about the situation at Abbotswood Nursing Home.
Seventeen of the 20 deaths as a result of Covid-19 on the Isle of Man have come from the Ballasalla facility.
In total, 15 people have died in the community - all from Abbotswood - and five at Noble's hospital, two of which were residents of the home who had been transferred out of the facility.
David Ashford says some of the remarks made on social media have been unacceptable:
From midday on Sunday until 4pm yesterday, there were no further confirmed positive tests for coronavirus on the Island.
That means the total number remains at 308, 40 of which are active.
Twenty-two patients are being treated in hospital, and 248 are 'presumed recovered'.
