Campaigner discusses growing number of inmates
Incentivising good behaviour among prisoners is one way to cut the prison population according to a criminal justice campaigner.
Andrew Neilson of the Howard League for Penal Reform has been speaking on the Island at a Positive Action Group meeting.
The Isle of Man Prison at Jurby recently installed portable buildings to increase its capacity in response to a growing number of inmates.
While it's not an issue unique to the Isle of Man, Mr Neilson says some areas have been able to reverse the trend:

One in eight drinking above recommended weekly alcohol limit
Renal patients 'near breaking point' over lack of dialysis facilities in the north
Public Health to expand 'stop nicotine' services and accept referrals from children
Fourth candidate declares for Glenfaba and Peel
