Crash at Verandah, one-way ignored
There was a crash on the Mountain Road yesterday evening, just seven minutes after it had reopened one-way for TT fortnight.
It happened at the Verandah, and led to the closure of the road while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Meanwhile, someone went against the one-way system at the Creg ny Baa, again within minutes of the reopening.
The Roads Policing Unit says the person responsible was 'dealt with accordingly'.
And there was another warning from police, via Tweetbeat, about riding on pavements.
They said they'd received reports of some motorcyclists doing this in the Queens Promenade area of Douglas - where temporary bike parking has been set up - in order to get past traffic.
Officers say anyone caught doing this will be prosecuted.
