Engineers carrying out more checks
It’s hoped the Island’s incinerator will re-open this morning (Saturday).
A large tree stump about three feet in diameter yesterday blocked the energy from waste plant, forcing the plan to be shut down temporarily.
It was the third blockage at the site in less than a week.
Infrastructure engineers are now carrying out more regular spot-checks to detect oversized items of waste.
