Jump in offences during 2023/24
There was a big increase in the number of penalty notices being issued for motorists on the Isle of Man parking on the pavement last year.
452 offences were registered between 2023/24, compared to 276 the year before, and 178 the year before that.
Meanwhile, records show a similar increase in the number of people parking on the road in such a way as to cause an unnecessary obstruction.
Whereas in 2021/22 there were 34 offences recorded, that number jumped to 125 in 2022/23, and again to 270 over the last year.
