Isle of Man Creamery has 'all but given up' recruiting existing engineers
More emphasis needs to be placed on training young people to get into highly specialised fields such as farming and manufacturing.
That's from the Managing Director of the Isle of Man Creamery, who says it is extremely difficult to find people with relevant experience here on the Isle of Man.
Findlay Macleod says the company has 'all but given up' recruiting for existing engineers.
But the Creamery currently runs a training scheme through UCM in hopes it will help fill the gap:
