MannVend and Corletts join to respond to demand
An industrial composting facility is set to open later this year, it has been revealed.
Coffee and vending machine supplier MannVend, which is recording a rise in the uptake of its vegware products, are behind joint proposals for a plant in the west of the Island.
It follows the announcement of three take-away businesses in Peel, which have swapped polystyrene boxes for plant-based packaging.
Although compostable, current take-away cups made from biodegradable sources require processing on an industrial level.
