Disquiet over RPI use
Plans to adopt a single, standard policy to measure inflation are in the pipeline, according to the chief minister.
Concerns have been raised after Manx Utilities revealed a 6.4% hike in the Island's water rate based on the retail prices index (RPI).
That's despite the consumer prices index (CPI) being the benchmark for government's monthly inflation rate - which is currently 1.9%.
Howard Quayle says the cost of living on the Island continues to be affected by external influences such as Brexit.
But he insists his top team is working towards a solution:
