Utilities and leisure among big changes
Inflation topped four percent in the Island last month.
The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) continued its recovery, leaping from 3.8% in November to 4.1% in December.
Eating out, transport, and hotels are being blamed for the increase.
The price of communication went up by a total of 10.9% in 2017 - alcohol and tobacco rose by 5.6%, and utilities by 3.6%.
It's the highest monthly spike since last June.
For the same month, Retail Prices Index (RPI) inflation stood at 6.9%.
