The vacant information commissioner role is now being advertised.
The post, had been held for more than 20 years by Iain MacDonald, who resigned in April.
Mr MacDonald cited resourcing, both financial and staffing, as a reason for his stepping down.
The salary is advertised as between £71,000 and £86,000 with a relocation package up to £10,000 also available.
The Isle of Man Information Commissioner is the independent authority responsible for upholding the public’s information rights and promotes and enforces compliance with legislation.
