Malew Commissioners is asking residents for information about three abandoned Christmas trees in a car park.
Anyone caught fly tipping can face a fine of up to £2,500.
The trees have been left in the commissioner's car park near Rushen Abbey in Ballasalla.
Anyone with information that could help identify those responsible is urged to contact the local authority.
