Expert says Island needs better network plans

Cycling UK's campaigns and policy director, Roger Geffen MBE, says if the DoI invests in cycling network plans and communicates consistent design standards - people will be encouraged to make a practice of it.
He spoke at a Positive Action Group meeting last night (Mon) - adding that local authorities should be championing change with evolving roadworks.
The department has already begun work on an 'Active Travel' strategy.
Mr Geffen says there's no reason why people can't hit the roads now, though:
