Visit Isle of Man says its upcoming campaigns will tell the stories of the Island's ambassadors
Visit Isle of Man says it has a number of initiatives in the pipeline to celebrate some of the Island's most famous residents and recognised figures.
It comes after tourism professional Ged Power called for more to be done to recognise the work of the likes of Sir Mark Cavendish and the Bee Gees.
The tourism body has described the Manx Missile as an "incredibly important ambassador for the Island", while describing the Bee Gees' Manx roots as "an important part of the Island's cultural heritage".
The organisation described the creation of the Sir Mark Cavendish Raceway as a "lasting tribute" to the cyclist, which was developed with his support and involvement.
The visit agency says its upcoming campaigns will tell the stories of the Island's ambassadors and celebrate those who shape the Island.
