Route had been closed for investigation purposes
Police have confirmed a man is being treated at Noble's Hospital after being found unconscious at Pulrose Bridge.
They say he was discovered with injuries just after midnight.
The bridge had been closed this morning, to pedestrians, for investigation purposes - a road closure for traffic was already in place due to ongoing construction work.
The road has now reopened.
Officers say the cause of the man's injuries is currently unknown but are appealing for anyone who may know what happened to come forward.
