Veterans head for S100 therapy
A group of six ex-servicemen are travelling over to the Island next week for the Southern 100 races.
The former soldiers are part of the charity Letsdo which aim to help rehabilitate personnel who have lost limbs whilst serving for the British army.
The charity was set up by Rob and Steve Timblin who have also both lost limbs, to assist injured personnel come to term with their life-changing injuries- and continue to enjoy their love for motorbikes.
The veterans' trip is in it's 3rd year and is supported by the Steam Packet Company which has helped with travel costs for each visit.
A former Royal Engineer has spoken of how the trip has helped to restore his confidence after loosing his leg in an explosion in Iraq in 2004.
Jeff Winder said: "The trip to the Isle Of Man has helped to show others what can be done if you put your mind to it. Letsdo has helped many other veterans and disabled people realise that there are things out there that can help put a smile on your face."
