UPDATE: Police say the scene has now been cleared
Police have confirmed the road traffic collision this morning at Fort North roundabout involved a large heavy goods vehicle and a cyclist resulting in injuries.
Officers have reported heavy congestion in the area around near B&Q adjoining New Castletown Road, Kewaigue, Cooil Road and Richmond Hill since the incident, which occurred shortly before 8am.
Motorists are urged to stay away from the vicinity of the roundabout use an alternate route.
Southbound traffic should take the Old Castletown Road and all Northbound traffic should use the road through St Marks Village and Vicarage Road in order to bypass the scene.
