22-year-old hit by car on Whitebridge Road

The inquest into the death of a Crosby man who died last year has been opened at Douglas Courthouse.
Robert George Kissack was hit by a car on Whitebridge Road, in Onchan, on 29 December.
The 22-year-old had been walking along the route, near to the Manx Fun Farm, when he was struck just after 3.30am.
Emergency services were called to the scene and took over resuscitation attempts from those there – including the driver and their two passengers – before taking him to Noble’s Hospital.
The agricultural worker was pronounced dead just over an hour later.
A post-mortem showed he’d suffered head and chest injuries.
Today (8 December) Coroner of Inquests James Brooks told the court investigations are continuing and the driver of the vehicle, who was arrested, remains on police bail.
Releasing Mr Kissack’s body so that funeral arrangements can take place, Coroner Brooks offered his condolences to his family.
The inquest will be reconvened at a later date.
