Condolences offered to family of 31-year-old Jack Sheppard
An inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of a 31-year-old man who died in the area of Hillberry last month.
Jack Sheppard, a heating and compliance engineer from Douglas, died in a single vehicle road traffic collision at around 9.30am on 16 January.
At Douglas Courthouse today (2 February), Coroner of Inquests James Brooks opened his inquest.
A pathologist report confirmed he died due to a skull base fracture as a result of the collision.
Jack's body was released to his family so they can make the necessary funeral arrangements.
Mr Brooks offered his condolences to his family and friends for their 'sudden loss'.
The inquest has been adjourned to a date to be fixed.
