Public needs clear message says MHK
Introducing interim targets according to one MHK, will help chart the Island's progress in tackling climate change.
Member for Douglas North Ralph Peake helped set out the current mitigation strategy, which received unanimous backing from Tynwald three years ago.
He says reducing energy consumption and keeping tabs on our carbon output would put the Island in line with instructions from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
Mr Peake says the public needs to be receiving a clear message when it comes to the government's response to climate change.
