An investigation into the Island’s new pre-school education policy will continue today (Tues)
From last month, state run pre-schools were transferred into private ownership.
Tynwald’s Social Affairs Policy Review Committee is considering if the Department of Education and Children’s proposal offers value for money and if it meets educational needs.
This morning from 10.30 in the Legislative Council Chamber, it will hear evidence from the Council of Ministers Working Group on pre-school education and MHK John Houghton who was sacked from the department earlier this year for failing to support the decision.
The public accounts committee will also sit this afternoon as it investigates the TT related contract between the Department of Tourism and Leisure and Signature Sponsorship.
