Three stevedores die in Indonesia
An investigation has been launched on behalf of the Isle of Man Ship Registry into the deaths of three stevedores aboard a Manx flagged ship in Indonesia.
It will be carried out by the UK's Marine Accident Investigation Branch.
The stevedores were in the cargo hold of the Manx registered bulk carrier, Berge Mawson, during an operation to load coal at the Bunyu anchorage in Indonesia on Tuesday.
The 92,000 tonne Berge Mawson was built in Japan in 2015 and is managed by Berge Bulk Maritime PTE based in Singapore.
As the vessel is registered under the Manx flag the responsibility for the investigation rests with the Isle of Man Ship Registry.
