There’s a warning to 200 investors with a Manx company that they’re being investigated by the UK taxman.
HM Revenue & Customs has written to clients at Montpelier Tax Consultants, which runs a tax scheme.
In a previous court case related to the company, HMRC said this scheme – set up in 2004 - was one of four being looked into.
A spokesman for Montpelier described the letters as "outrageous", saying the scheme is conducted in accordance with tax rules.
