Manx Cycling backs work commute strategy
The Manx Cycling Association has given 'full support' to a government plan aiming to encourage a more active commute.
Chairman Richard Fletcher has welcomed the Active Travel Strategy, which was unanimously approved in Tynwald last week.
Easing traffic congestion and lowering environmental pollution are the aims of the plan, but Mr Fletcher stressed health was a key factor.
He believes as a nation, the Isle of Man has fallen behind other European countries when it comes to taking up exercise:
