Plans being drafted for gov't approval
Plans to reopen the Island's construction industry, which has largely ground to halt bar emergency works, are being considered.
The Isle of Man Construction Federation is investigating a way forward for the sector, including the 'safe reopening of sites', which it will present to government for approval.
The group has been in 'constant dialogue' with the Department for Enterprise throughout the pandemic to support the industry.
It successfully lobbied for the extension of the 'Coronavirus Business Support Scheme' to include self-employed construction workers and businesses with fewer than 100 employees.
The federation has also secured more than 2,000 tubs of antibacterial wipes to sell to its members.
