No hygiene issues because of no foil cover
Comments which have been spreading about Isle of Man Creamery butter are being clarified by the company.
A post on Facebook suggests having no foil cover under the lid of the spreadable butter seems unhygienic.
A Creamery spokesperson says: "The foil paper insert was removed from spreadable butter over a year ago to help reduce packaging and ensure it is recyclable.
"The insert that used to be included with the product was not sealed, it was simply there to separate the butter from the lid and was not required.
"The lid is securely attached and this is the norm with most spreadable butter products."
