Gas supplier's payments overdue 22 times in 12 months
Almost 90% of Isle of Man Energy's payments for gas purchased from Manx Utilities over the last 12 months have been late.
The chair of Manx Utilities has revealed 22 of 25 invoices issued to the Island's gas supplier between September 2022 and the end of August this year were paid late.
Seven of those invoices were paid more than 30 days overdue, while nine were paid within five days of their due date.
The Attorney General's Chambers were instructed to issue letters before a claim on six occasions, while four claim forms relating to seven invoices were issued by the High Court.
In response to the Tynwald written question from Speaker of the House of Keys Juan Watterson, Tim Crookall also confirmed no invoices are currently overdue.
Manx Radio has invited Isle of Man Energy to comment.
